We are happy to announce that after a year and a half St Mary’s Manhasset CYO is back. Since being shut-down because of COVID in March of 2020 we have not been able to provide a place for the kids to play here. After a lot of  work with the parish and CYO we are finally back and able to run a full program. We understand that everyone has been through a lot since we were able to get the kids out on the courts and we ask for your patience as we shake off the rust and also implement new protocols and rules so that we can run a successful  program. Remember, anything we are doing is for you and your child's safety. If we want to continue to run our program than we have to abide by the protocols. 

We know that it has been awhile and that our email distribution list may be out of date, so please share the registration link with your friends and neighbors (especially those with younger children) who may be interested.

We would love to accommodate everyone who wants to play for St Mary’s CYO, but gym space and scheduling is limited. Consequently, only children of St Mary’s Parishioners, students enrolled in St Mary’s schools and children attending school in Manhasset are eligible to participate.

Registration for Girls Travel Basketball for Grades 3-8 will be open from Tuesday September 14th to  Thursday September 23rd 2021. This is a very small window of time before registration will close. Please register right away so that you don't miss the deadline!

In order to register you will have to log into your Sports Engine account. If you don't have a Sports Engine Account, you will have to create one.

***TEAMS ARE BEING SUBMITTED AND UNIFORMS ORDERED SO NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 23RD***

Evaluations for team placement will take place on September 24TH, 25TH or 26TH. Times and locations will be sent out ASAP.

Teams for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade will be made as evenly as possible.  For 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams, players will be put on teams based upon their abilities, attitude and sportsmanship. These evaluations will be conducted by local independent coaches from outside of the program. 

The season runs from October 15th until Jan 9th. For grades 5-8 there are playoffs for eligible teams that go until February 12th. Practices for each team will hopefully begin the week of September 27th (day and times will vary for each team based on the coaches and gym availability).  Each team will have 1 practice during the week and then games are usually on weekends.

Uniforms will be provided for the girls, so please make sure to mark down your daughters correct size.

The fee this year will be $285.00

For families registering 3 or more children in any of our basketball programs, there will be a 50% discount for each additional child. This discount will not be applied at checkout but will be refunded upon request starting in December after all the basketball registrations are completed.

3. Further information on grades K-3 Basketball Clinics (boys and girls) and High School Boys basketball, will be released by the end of the month. Information regarding Girls Volleyball will be released in November.

4. A lot of effort has gone into Covid protocols to allow the program to restart so please have patience and bear with us if there are any hiccups. Thank you and we look forward to once again seeing the kids out on the courts this season.
